Two Donegal players have been called for trials for the Irish Women’s Deaf team ahead of the European Deaf Futsal Mini Tournament in January.

Swilly Rovers player Catherine Grier and Olivia McGinley of Bonagee United will attend the trials in Dublin on Sunday-week, October 15.

Both players line out for their clubs in the North West Women’s Super League while Grier also played for Swilly in the Donegal Women’s League Under-16 League in 2017.

Grier and McGinley played for the Donegal Women’s League’s Under-18 representative squad this year.

Next weekend, they will look to make it onto the Irish squad.

Ireland are in Group A of the European Deaf Futsal Mini Tournament, to be held in Aalsmeer, Netherlands, alongside hosts Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Denmark.
