Donegal death notices for today, Friday, October 27.

 

Betty SPILLANE
The death has occurred of Betty Spillane, Seacrest, Shore Road, Buncrana, Donegal.

Reposing at McLaughlin’s Funeral Home today, Friday, from 2pm until removal at 5.15pm to St. Mary’s Oratory, Buncrana. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 10am followed by burial in Cockhill Cemetery. Family home strictly private.

 

Packie MCGRATH
The death has occurred of Packie McGrath, 7 St. Benildus Ave, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal, October 26th 2017, tragically following a road traffic accident. Beloved husband of Christina, and adoring father of Shane and Caroline. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife, son, daughter, son-in-law Dessie (McNamara), daughter-in-law Deirdre, his beloved grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Susan MCGEEHAN (née Ward)
The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Susan McGeehan (née Ward). Deeply regretted by her loving husband John, sons Peadar, John and Antoine, daughters Susan and Maire, sister, Mary and brothers John and Tony and family members.

Her remains left The Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, at 3 o’clock yesterday, Thursday, going to her late residence. Funeral Mass at 1 o’clock on Saturday in St. Colmcille’s Chapel, Fintown, with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

 

Carmel Jacinta MC FADDEN
The death has occurred of Carmel Jacinta McFadden, Garshuey, Newtowncunningham, Donegal.

Reposing at her home today, Friday, from 11am to 11pm. Removal from her home on Saturday, 28th October, at 10.30am for 11am Requiem Mass in The Church of The Immaculate Conception, Killea. Burial afterwards in All Saints Cemetery, Newtowncunningham. No flowers please. Donations to The Donegal Hospice.

 

Teague MC CULLAGH
The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Teague Mc Cullagh, Fanaboy, Gortahork and originally from Inis Oithir island. Survived by his loving wife Margaret, three sons, Tomas, Denis and Sean and a wide circle of friends and relations.

Teague’s remains are reposing at his late residence. Rosary tonight Friday at 10.00pm. Family time from after the Rosary until 10.00am. Funeral from there on Saturday 28th October for 1.00pm Requiem Mass in Christ the King Church, Gortahork with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

 

Catherine LAVELLE
The death has occurred of Catherine Lavelle, Glasgow, Scotland, Dartry View, Kinlough, Co. Leitrim and Bundoran, Co. Donegal. Peacefully in Glasgow. Beloved wife of the late Peter. Loving mum to Peter, mother-in-law to AnneMarie, and granny to Ailish and Darragh.

Reposing at the Gilmartin Funeral Home, Kinlough on Saturday evening Oct 28th from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Funeral will arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran on Sunday morning Oct 29th for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Ninnidh’s Cemetery, Newtown, Bundoran. Enquiries to Conlan & Breslin Funeral Directors on 086-2492036.

 

Florrie DOHERTY
The death has taken place of Florrie Doherty, Derryreel, Falcarragh, Co. Donegal.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence. Funeral Mass in Holy Cross Church, Dunfanaghy on Saturday 28th October, at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family time please from 11pm to 10am and the morning of the funeral. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Alzheimers Society of Ireland, c/o any family member.

 

Nappy BOYLE
The death has occurred of Nappy Boyle, Magheralosk, Bunbeg, Donegal.

Reposing at Gweedore Funeral Home this evening (Friday) from 4pm until Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Saturday at 12.30pm to St. Mary’s Church, Derrybeg for Requiem Mass at 1pm followed by burial in the Magheragallon Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Aras Gweedore.

 

John LAFFERTY
The death has occurred of John Lafferty, Kildarragh, Dunfanaghy, Donegal.

Reposing at his late residence. Funeral Mass in St. Michael’s Church, Creeslough today, Friday, 27th October at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Doe Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.

 

Archie MCAVER
The death has occurred of Archie Mcaver, Upper Dunmore, Falcarragh, Donegal.

Reposing at his late residence. Funeral Mass today, Friday, at 1pm in St. Finan’s Church, Falcarragh with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Patient Comfort Fund, Falcarrragh Community Hospital.
