Eamon McConigley praised the character of his Donegal Youth League side after their 3-2 win over Inishowen in the Inter-League Cup.
Donegal came from behind for the win at The Moss in the opening game of the competition.
“It was hard-earned, but I expected that,” McConigley said.
“We had a fortnight’s preparation. 39 players turned up to the trials and we had to take that down to 21.
“I’m delighted for them. They showed great character to come back like that.
“The atmosphere is great there and we’re looking forward to the rest of the games.”
