A number of road safety measures are to be introduced to one of the busiest local roads in the county.

The Glenfin Road outside Ballybofey is now to undergo a number of low-cost safety works.

The scheme, which has been welcomed by Cllr Patrick McGowan, will be started over the next few weeks.

Funding has already been secured for this project.

A lining contractor has now been procured and will be commencing works this week. The signage has been purchased and will be installed the week commencing Monday 6th Nov, with the traffic islands installed shortly after this.

Cllr McGowan said Engineers hope that this work should help to slow down vehicles and stop overtaking on this very busy road.
