New ‘BASE’ for Finn Harps Academy – volunteers wanted!

Finn Harps Academy have moved into a new base recently – and academy head Kevin McHugh is appealing for volunteers to come on board.

Harps legend McHugh, who also manage’s the club’s Under-15 team, has taken over as the head of the Finn Harps Academy.

Recently, a new office at the BASE Centre in Stranorlar to work alongside the Finn Harps Schools Programme.

“We are aiming to take the Finn Harps Academy to the next level and could do with a few more people getting involved,” McHugh said.

“I am looking for fans of the club and people who are genuinely care about the welfare of the club.

“There are loads of great coaches involved with schoolboys clubs out there, and we would love them to also get involved with our Academy to help us and their own development as a coach.

“There is loads of great work going on currently and it would be great to get a few more people involved, if you think this is something that may be of interest to you, see below. This is a great opportunity to be part of an exciting time in the club’s history”

McHugh has appealed for the following people to come forward:

– Male and Female coaches to help our head coaches – Academy and National League level (Qualifications are an advantage, but not necessary. Training will be provided)

– People to get involved at a committee level (new Academy committee formed very recently). Meetings once every 2 weeks
