Amy Boyd and the Letterkenny Institute of Technology ladies are brimming with confidence after a third win in three games today.

Having already posted a big win at Dundalk and beaten Blanchardstown 3-2, Jonny Baird’s team hammered DIT 9-0 at the Port Road today.

“All the girls did unreal,” Boyd said.

“We’re delighted.”

The Convoy native, who lines out for Lagan Harps in the North West Women’s Super League, believes the LyIT squad is strong enough to compete with the best of them.

She said: “We didn’t have a team last year and most of this team are first years. It would have been good to get the team last year, but we just didn’t have the numbers.

“We’re at a really high standard. We have a brilliant team here. We want to win everything we play in.”
