The all-new Honda Civic was awarded not one, but two honours at The Irish Car of the Year awards 2018 in association with Continental Tyres in the Gibson Hotel Dublin this week.

The sporty hatchback took away The Irish Compact Family Car of the Year 2018 and The Best Innovator award for Honda’s Suite of Safety features Honda Sensing. The announcements were made at the Awards Ceremony last Thursday evening, which was attended by leading figures in the Irish motor industry.

The Civic beat off tough competition from other new cars launched on the Irish market this year to take both prizes.

In accepting the award, John Saunders, Sales and Marketing Director of Universal Honda Ltd expressed his delight, saying: “We are thrilled with winning not only the coveted Compact Family Car of the year but also taking away the best innovator award for Honda Sensing which really cements Civic as one of the safest cars in its class. 2017 has been a great year for Honda and we really look forward to 2018 with the arrival of new members of the Civic family”.

The Honda Civic is available at Highland Motors. Highland Motors will be holding their 181 Open Day this Saturday from 10:00am – 4:00pm where the full Honda range can be viewed.

All customers who order a new Honda this Saturday during the open day can avail of a bonus offering of Free Honda Paint Protection.

With regard to the Honda Civic, customers have a choice of two all-new VTEC TURBO petrol engines, a 127bhp and 180bhp that have been developed specifically to deliver a powerful, engaging and efficient driving experience.

A suite of advanced safety and driver-assistance technologies specified as standard across the range called Honda Sensing ensures the car is among the very safest in its class.

The range will be expanded further with the arrival of the Civic Diesel and TYPE R in January.

For more details on the Honda Range and all the 181 offers call up to Highland Motors at the Mountain Top this Saturday between 10am-4pm of call us on 074 91 28777.
