Watch: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Letterkenny!

Last night’s Christmas light switch-on was a huge success, with hundreds lining Letterkenny main street to see the festive decorations illuminate for the first time this year.

Stretching from McGettigan’s Hotel to the Market Square, families donned their cosiest knits to join the festivities despite the chilly temperatures.

Santa Claus even made a surprise appearance! Taking a small break from what is the busiest season at his workshop, Santa joined boxing star Jason Quigley to flick the switch on the McGettigan’s Christmas lights.

At Market Square, the Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce led the switch on for the entire town, with ShopLK and the Chamber of Commerce providing sweet treats and festive goodies for everyone in attendance!

With Letterkenny set to bask in the warm glow of Christmas lights, it’s officially ‘beginning to look a lot like Christmas!’
