Naomh Colmcille launch fundraising appeal ahead of Edinburgh game

Naomh Colmcille have launched a big fundraising drive to aid in their trip to Edinburgh on Saturday-week to face Dunedin Connollys in the All-Ireland JFC quarter-final.

The game has been pencilled in for Saturday-week, December 9, at 1.30pm.

The fixture, at Granton Road, has the prize on offer of an All-Ireland JFC semi-final in January.

Naomh Colmcille made history on Saturday night by becoming the first Donegal club to win an Ulster JFC crown as they overcame Belnaleck 1-9 to 0-6 at Celtic Park.

The Donegal champions, powered by Matthew Crossan’s goal, savoured their greatest hour as they toasted the arrival of provincial silverware for the first time.

The club had set up a Go Fund Me page, seeking donations to help ease the burden ahead of their mission to Scotland next week.
