The Michael McGrath fund has surpassed the €90,000 mark after just four days of fundraising on his Go Fund Me page.

The public’s response has been nothing short of magnificent for the 40-year-old who has been diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer.

The married father of one from Letterkenny is pinning his hopes on groundbreaking Immunotherapy treatment which costs €150,000.

Michael, a teacher based in Dublin, will fly to Vienna tomorrow with sisters Mary and Bernadette for his first round of treatment which will last for two weeks.

A fundraising committee was last night set up in a bid to ensure the remainder of the money needed is raised.
