Adrian Doherty’s Loreto, Milford might have made hard work of winning the Arthurs Cup, but believes there’s even more to come from his men.

Kyle McFadden’s goal was key in their win over Pobalscoil Gaoth Dobhair in Convoy.

“It’s brilliant,” Doherty said.

“This team won Ulster at the grade below two years ago. We knew we had something different in them. There’s a lot more to come from them.”

Joey Gillespie’s goal for Gaoth Dobhair early in the second half made Loreto think, but Doherty said: “We made hard work of it. We did everything right until the final third. We talked about it half-time, we knew we had plenty more to give.

“It was a matter of getting confidence back into them. We knew they would come back at us.”
