Donegal Death Notices – Rest in Peace

Donegal death notices for today, Wednesday, January 3.

 

Brighid WHYTE (née Mc Loone)
The death has occurred of Brighid WHYTE (née Mc Loone), Whitemill, Faughart, Dundalk, Louth, formerly of Cleengort, Glenties, Co. Donegal, peacefully in the love and tender care of the nurses and staff of Mater Hospital, Dublin.

Beloved wife of Paddy and cherished mother of John, Dara, Eunan, Enda and Pádraic. Predeceased by her parents Johnny and Annie, brothers Peter and John, sisters Bella and Mary, grandson Rowan. Brighid will be sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughter, brothers Leo and Padraig, son-in-law Austin, daughters-in-law, Cathy, Caroline and Sarah, Pádraic’s fiancé Ciaran, brother-in-law George, sisters-in-law Maeve, Briege, Isobel and Annette, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, relatives, wonderful neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence Whitemill Faughart from 12 noon today, Wednesday, with recitation of the Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Thursday morning driving to Saint Brigid’s Church Kilcurry, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. House private on Thursday morning please. No flowers by family request, donations if desired to Cancer Research.

 

Ita MCELHINNEY (née Kyle)
The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Ita McElhinney, Fairhill, Dungloe, nee Kyle, formerly of Mountcharles.

Reposing in McGlynn’s Funeral Home with funeral open from 5pm on Tuesday evening. Removal on Wednesday 3rd January at 6.30pm to St Crona’s Church, Dungloe. Funeral on Thursday 4th January after 11am Mass & burial in Lettermacaward New Cemetery.

 

William Frank MC ELHINNEY
The death has taken place at University Hosp., Letterkenny of William Frank McElhinney, Manorcunningham.

Reposing at the residence of his nephew Trevor McElhinney, Ray, Manorcunningham from 2.00pm on Wednesday. Funeral from there at 1.20pm on Thursday for 2.00pm Service in Ray Presbyterian Church followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing son, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

 

Billy DOHERTY
The death has taken place peacefully at The Donegal Hospice of Billy Doherty, Brook Cottage, Drennan, Ballybofey. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Helen son Karl daughter-in-law Fiona and grandchildren Maeve and Ronan. Sadly missed by his brothers Joseph and Harry, sisters Bernadette and Kathleen, relatives, neighbours and friends.

His remains will repose at his residence today, Wednesday 3rd January from 10am to 11pm. Funeral from there on Thursday morning 4th January at 10.30am to St. Mary’s, Sessiaghoneill for 11am Requiem Mass followed by cremation at Lakeland Crematorium, Cavan. Family time before the funeral on Thursday morning. Family flowers only please.
