Sean MacCumhaill Park passed a pitch inspection this morning ahead of Donegal’s Dr McKenna Cup clash with Queen’s later this evening.

Donegal face Queen’s in their 2018 opener in Ballybofey at 8pm.

Heavy rainfall throughout yesterday and today raised fears that the Finnside venue would be unplayable.

However, it is a case of so far, so good with officials giving the venue the green light just over an hour ago.

This evening will see the return of Declan Bonner to the Donegal manager’s seat as the Lettermacaward man takes charge of his first game in his second tenure as boss.
