Donegal County Council have advised of an emergency road closure in Inishowen tomorrow.

The Middle Illies to Upper Illies road, from the Pollan Water Treatment Plant to the Twin Bridges, will be closed to all traffic from 9am to 4.30pm tomorrow.

“These works are required to replace collapsed stream crossings,” Donegal County Council have explained.

“Thanks in advance for your patience and co-operation.”

On Tuesday evening, areas of Donegal felt the force of Storm Eleanor with flash flooding causing problems across the county. Emergency service crews were deployed and Inishowen again felt the brunt of the damage.
