Ulster GAA has announced that tickets from Sunday’s postponed Monaghan-Donegal McKenna Cup game in Clones will be usable at this weekend’s re-fixed game.

The match was called off late on Sunday with supporters already in their places.

A frozen corner of the St Tiernach’s Park surface hadn’t thawed in spite of officials putting the start time back by half-an-hour.

An Ulster Council statement said: “Ulster GAA wishes to advise patrons who attended the postponed Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna  Cup games in Clones and Burren last weekend that the ticket you received on admittance to the game is valid for the re-fixture on Sunday 14 January at 2.00 pm.

“If you are unable to attend  the re-fixture the ticket can be redeemed at any BOI Dr McKenna Cup game this season, up to and including the Final.

“If you are unable to or prefer not to attend any further games in the Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup this year you should contact Ulster GAA at info.ulster@gaa.ie or by telephoning 028-37521900 as soon as possible.

“Ulster GAA apologies to patrons for any inconvenience caused by the postponement of the games.”
