Homes and businesses in Letterkenny, Stranorlar and Buncrana are experiencing water outages today following unexpected burst water mains.

Road users are warned to expect disruptions as Irish Water carry out repair works in both Letterkenny and Stranorlar.

The Letterkenny burst impacts on the Dromore, Bonagee, Drumany, Drumardagh, Rossbracken and surrounding areas.

A traffic management system will be in place to facilitate works, which are estimated to be completed by 2pm today (Monday).

The Stanorlar fault affects Stranorlar, Ardmiran, Tircallen, Tiervickmoy, Knockfair, Kilross, Broadroad, Killynure, Meeavoy, Callann, Cloughroe, Lisnaree and surrounding areas.

A traffic management system will be in place to facilitate works. There is no estimated completion time, as crews are working to restore supply to all affected areas as soon as possible.

Elsewhere, works in the Buncrana regions of Millfield, Milltown and Ard Draven Heights will take place from 10am until 2:30pm.
