Daniel and Majella O’Donnell have welcomed the arrival of their second grandchild after Majella’s daughter Siobhan gave birth to a beautiful baby boy.
The new arrival came just before midnight last night, while thrilled granny Majella introduced him to the world today with a precious photo of her with her first grandson.
Majella said she is ‘feeling blessed’ and gave a short description of the birth: “Delighted to announce the arrival of our 2nd grandchild!! Born at 11.51pm. A boy weighing in at 7lbs 5ozs. Very fast normal delivery. Both doing really well.”
The newborn’s name hasn’t yet been released, but the boy is sure to be doted upon by her grandparents who will be settling back in their newly-renovated home in Donegal in the coming months.
Majella and Daniel spent last Christmas with Siobhan, her husband Gavin Shields and their little girl, Olivia, who is two years old. “Olivia is the light of our lives,” Daniel said last year, and there will be even more love to go around now that there are two grandchildren to cherish.

Majella’s followers were over the moon with her family news today. Many wished the parents and grandparents congratulations and good blessings, while Daniel’s fans are looking forward to seeing him in a photo with his new grandson.
