The Save Our St. Joseph’s Hospital Public meeting tonight Friday 19th Jan at 7 pm in Jackson’s hotel, Ballybofey is CANCELLED due to bad weather conditions.

Organisers say health and safety has to come first.

The group now hope that Minister Mc Hugh will be in a position to give them a date in which he can attend a public meeting in the Finn Valley to meet with the people and address their concerns.

The issues surround the long stay residential beds and the long stay and short stay beds in the dementia unit and to guarantee them that these services will be there for future generations.

Organiser Fr John Joe Duffy said “Our meeting will be rescheduled on the availability of Minister McHugh to attend. This will now be our third attempt recently to set a public meeting and a date that would be agreeable to the Minister Mc Hugh’s schedule.

“We hope on this occasion that the Minister can give us a date of when he can be available to attend a meeting to discuss this most important issue to the people of the Finn Valley and surrounding areas.

“In a way these adverse weather conditions are an now a renewed opportunity for the Minister to attend a meeting with the people of the Finn Valley and the surrounding areas.”
