Letterkenny man Micheál Ó Ciaraidh is co-leading a new strand of RTE’s Operation Transformation series to get Ireland’s children active.

Starting today, the 10@10 series aims to get children active in their classrooms and at home with daily exercise routines.

Presenters Micheál Ó Ciaraidh and Gráinne Bleasdale will be adding a fun and energetic energy to the shows every weekday morning at 10 o’clock.

They will be getting children moving every morning three consecutive weeks with themes including Around the World, dancing and fun Friday.

There will be an Irish and English version of each programme, as well as being broadcast on RTÉJr the 15 programmes will be available to download on line also making them a valuable classroom resource for teachers.

10@10 airs at 10am on RTEjr and an Irish language version will air at 3pm each weekday.

All the exercises are designed to appeal to all children, not just the sporty types, by activating their imaginations and making exercise fun and accessible to all, through a wide range of activity children can do on the spot.

Gráinne and Micheál will be showing children and adults how a little every day can make a big difference, with exercises that can be done in the classroom no matter what the weather is like outside.
