The Donegal senior ladies have been handed a boost in the form of a new sponsorship deal ahead of the new season.

The Donegal side will be managed by Maxi Curran and Damian Devaney and their Lidl National League Division 1 campaign starts on Sunday when they take on All-Ireland champions Dublin at O’Donnell Park.

Donegal are the defending Ulster champions and reached the Division 1 final last year.

KN Group and the MCR Group are to sponsor the Donegal ladies in 2018.

KN Group are the main sponsor of the Donegal men’s team and also recently signed a deal to be the main sponsors of Finn Harps. The KN Group CEO Donagh Kelly is a native of Frosses.

MCR, whose CEO Donall Barrett hails of Milford and were secondary sponsors of the Donegal men’s team until the winter.

The news serves as a huge shot in the arm for the Donegal ladies.
