McShock as McDonald’s Letterkenny closes for a month

Fast food fans have been left a little confused, and hungry, after the McDonald’s restaurant in Letterkenny closed on Monday for an extensive revamp.

The Pearse Road franchise will be closed for business from January 22nd until Tuesday, February 27th 2018. Steel barriers surround the outlet and drive-thru, while cars are having to turn at the entrance.

Customers are not to worry about the future of their Big Mac fix though, as the company promises to reopen with a fully modernised development.

The new-look McDonald’s will be fitted with self–order kiosks that allow customers to browse menus, see nutritional info and personalise their meals. The kiosks will be placed to speed up the service even more as they allow customers to consider their options before they get near the counter.

Other new features will cater to the tech-loving customers, as phone chargers will be installed along with interactive tablets so diners can browse the web during their visits.

“We think you’ll like the changes we’re making,” the McDonald’s notice says.

Will you be able to last the McWait?
