A second club has announced its withdrawal from the Donegal Youth League.

After confirmation in recent days that Gweedore United were pulling out, League officials tonight revealed that Eany Celtic were no longer able to compete.

“Eany Celtic are the second team within days to withdraw from the Donegal Youth League,” a statement on the Donegal Youth League’s Facebook page read.

“Eany Celtic have this evening stated that with the club’s Under 16 Donegal Schoolboys League starting shortly and with players having part time jobs at the weekend they feel that they cannot finish the Youth League season.

“Their statement continued by saying that they hope to enter the league next season.

“Last weekend, Gweedore United pulled out of the Donegal Youth league.  With the loss of Gweedore United and Eany Celtic the league will finish with 7 teams.”
