The final days of January 2018 are set to bring more winter weather to the north west with snow-ice warnings and wind alerts in place for Donegal.
Tonight could see sleet and snowfall on high ground with accumulations of up to 3cm forecast. There is a risk of frost in sheltered areas and drivers are urged to take care on the roads.
Donegal County Council will have gritters out on a select number of routes tonight from 9pm.

Met Eireann are warning people in Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Louth and Leitrim to be on alert for icy conditions from the early hours of Wednesday until tomorrow afternoon.
Wednesday daytime is also due to have high winds of up to 55-60 km/hr near coastal areas. A status yellow warning is in place for western counties.
A cold, blustery and rainy day is in store for Wednesday, with further potential for sleet and snow in Donegal. The final night of the month will be a cold and frosty one, as forecasters predict temperatures will fall to 0 degrees.
