Donegal’s Lidl Ladies National League game against Westmeath was abandoned this afternoon after heavy snowfall in Mullingar.
Donegal were 3-9 to 1-8 ahead when the referee called a halt, with 15 minutes to go.
Yvonne Bonner’s goal on 17 minutes had Donegal 1-7 to 1-4 ahead at the break while Eilish Ward struck a quick-fire double of goals in the second half.
Donegal were, seemingly, on their way to a win, but the snow would prove to be the undoing of the day.
The game will be rescheduled tomorrow.
