Donegal Death Notices – Rest in Peace

Donegal death notices for today, Wednesday, February 14.

 

Leo O’FLAHERTY
The death has occurred of Leo O’Flaherty, Tonragee, Rossnowlagh Road, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal, February 13th, after a short illness at Sligo University Hospital. Peacefully, surrounded by his heartbroken parents Liam and Kathleen, brother Darren, sisters Michaela and Emma, partner Denise.

Funeral leaving the family home on Friday at 1.30pm to arrive at Saint Anne’s Church of Ireland, Ballyshannon, for 2.00pm Funeral Service, followed by committal in adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to Saint Anne’s Parish Church Fund c/o Patsy McCauley funeral director or any family member. House Private to family and close friends. Very fondly remembered by his parents, brother, sisters, partner, brother-In-law, uncles, aunts and extended family circle.

 

Julia MONAGHAN (née Gallagher)
The death has occurred of Julia Monaghan (nee Gallagher), Mohercrom, Kingscourt and formerly Cranford, Donegal and New York, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, Tuesday, 13th February. Predeceased by her sisters Mary Enright, Bridget Gallagher and Margaret Dunne. Deeply regretted by her husband George, daughters Teresa, Judy, Maureen and Eileen, her son George Jnr., sister Vera (Doherty), brothers John, Michael, Oliver, Bernard and Joseph. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Kieran Bros. Funeral Home, Hall St., Kingscourt on Friday evening 16th February from 3pm until 5pm with removal to The Church of The Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt arriving at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning, 17th February, at 10 am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
