Large crowds expected for hospital protest march

A large crowd is expected to gather for a protest march in Letterkenny tomorrow.

The march has been organised by Still Waiting Campaign.

The group is calling for protest is a result of the largest figure recorded awaiting on trolleys at Letterkenny University Hospital – a total of 56.

New figures released also show that the hospital had full capacity protocol implemented 242 times in 2017.

The protest begins at the hospital entrance at 1pm and will March to the Market Square were there will be a range of speakers.

They will include Cyril Brennan of the Still Waiting Co-Coordinator, TD Thomas Pringle and Senator Padraig McLaughlin as well as campaigns and local representatives.
