Donegal Death Notices – Rest in Peace

Donegal death notices for today, Friday, March 2.

 

Brian MCNEELY
The death has occurred of Brian McNeely, Ballybrillighan, Mountcharles, Donegal, peacefully at Lettekenny University Hospital. Funeral arrangements to be announced later. All enquiries to John McGowan Funeral Directors on 087-2706699.

Will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Bridie, and his loving family daughters May and Bernadette, sons Cathal, Bernard and Fredrick, sons and daughters in law, brother Cathal (UK) and sisters Una (USA) and Bríd (Frosses). Adoring grandfather to his grandchildren and will also be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.

 

Catherine SHAW (née Gallagher)
The death has taken place February 28th 2018 at Galway University Hospital of Catherine Shaw (née Gallagher) – Cavan Hill, Lifford. Beloved wife of the late Michael, much loved mother of Jacqueline, Joseph and Thomas, mother-in-law of Emer and Catherine, dearly loved grandmother of Kevin, Oliver, Cathal and Allie and sister of Annie, Eileen, Una, Rosaleen, Willie, Mary, Conal, Patricia and the late Noel, Danny and Patrick.

Reposing at her home on Friday (March 2nd) from 4p.m. Funeral leaving her home on Sunday (March 4th) at 1.15p.m. for Requiem Mass in St Patrick`s Church, Murlog, Lifford at 2p.m. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing daughter, sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and family circle. Donations in lieu of flowers please to I.C.U. Galway University Hospital. Family time please from 11p.m. to 11a.m.

 

Laurence (Larry) O’NEILL
The death has occurred at the Donegal Hospice Letterkenny of Laurence (Larry) O’Neill, 43, Carolina Park, Letterkenny, formerly Saggart Dublin and Irish Life, deeply regretted by his loving wife Jean née Downey (Ballyshannon), devoted father of Paul and David, sadly missed by daughters-in-law Noreen and Noeleen, brothers Kevin, Robbie and Teddy (Dublin), grandchildren Jack, Hannah, Joshua and Erin, in-laws, relatives , neighbours and friends.

Larry’s remains will repose at his late residence from 6pm this evening, Thursday 1st March, funeral from there on Saturday 3rd March, going to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballyraine, Letterkenny, for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in Tully Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Donegal Hospice, c/o Paschal Blake, Funeral Director, Stoney Arch, New Line Road, Letterkenny. Family time please from 9pm until 11am and on the morning of the funeral.
