As part of Local Enterprise Week (5th to 9th March), the North West Regional Skills Forum (Department of Education and Skills initiative to encourage collaboration between industry and education & training providers) in conjunction with the Local Enterprise Office Donegal are hosting an information evening for Donegal employers wishing to learn more about the various funding, supports and services available to Donegal employers from local education & training providers and other agencies.

This event is being held in the Letterkenny Institute of Technology on Thursday March 8th at 5:30pm.

This “one-stop-shop” event will hear presentations from Donegal ETB and Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT) describing the numerous services available to employers and employees in relation to funding, part time & flexible training and education programmes for employees and employers, recruitment of graduates, apprenticeships, traineeships, research & innovation, support for new start-ups and much more.

LEO Donegal will provide an overview of the wide range of services they have available to support employers. Presentations will also be delivered by Skillnets who provide significant funding for flexible education and training programmes for employers and employees in a wide range of areas including management, technology, retail, tourism & hospitality, manufacturing, health & safety and digital marketing.

Employers will also get the opportunity to hear from Intreo who help employers with recruitment and possibly provide a range of financial supports to assist with the costs of employment creation.

Representatives from numerous other agencies including Údarás na Gaeltachta, Enterprise Ireland, IBEC, Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce, Donegal Local Development Company and Inishowen Partnership will also be in attendance to speak to employers and employees.

After the presentations, employers can speak to the agencies present on a one to one basis. This event will provide a unique opportunity to hear from a wide range of different organisations providing support to Donegal employers and employees in relation to funding, training, education, recruitment, research and new business start-up.

To register for this event, please contact the North West Regional Skills Forum Manager – Oran Doherty on orandoherty@regionalskills.ie
