Roma McLaughlin has signed for Shelbourne again ahead of the 2018 Women’s National League season, the Drumcondra club have confirmed.

The Greencastle woman spent her first season with the Reds in 2017.

McLaughlin, who will turn 20 tomorrow, scored 11 goals for Shelbourne from midfield last season and has been retained amid a flurry of new signings this weekend.

McLaughlin, previously of Peamount United, lined out in the Women’s Champions League for Shels in 2017.

Shelbourne finished third last season having been WNL champions in 2016.

It was a big weekend in terms of signings for Shelbourne.

Noelle Murray returns from Glasgow City and Jess Gleeson signs from reigning WNL champions Wexford Youths.

McLaughlin was one of a host of players to re-sign for 2018, alongside Rebecca Creagh, Amanda McQuillan, Rachel Kelly, Rachel Graham, Fiona Donnelly, Kate Mooney, Alex Kavanagh and Leanne Kiernan.
