Toland, Boyle Carr confirmed for Irish U17s ahead of UEFA Elite Phase

Tyler Toland and Amy Boyle Carr have been named in the Republic of Ireland U17 squad that will go to the Women’s U17 UEFA Elite Phase later this month.

Colin Bell’s team will go to Greifswald in Germany from March 22-28 to face games against holders Germany, Iceland and Azerbaijan.

Toland and Boyle Carr have both been on a training camp with the Irish Women’s National Team in Cork lately.

Toland last year graduated to the senior team, also managed by Bell, and the St Johnston woman, at just 16, has forced a way into a regular berth already.

Toland netted one of the goals during the qualification phase win over Romania in Zenica, scoring a penalty in the 2-0 win.

Glenties woman Boyle Carr, a key performer for Sion Swifts, has been elevated to the senior ranks, but has yet to feature for that side. Boyle Carr, though, is a mainstay of the U17 side and will be another of the big influences on the Irish side for the German challenge.
