Martin Harley’s brilliant season in the saddle continued on the All Weather track at Chelmsford last night as he recorded yet another Double with his two rides on the night.

In the 7-15pm Stay at Channels Novice Stakes Martin’s mount Jazirat, the 11/10 favourite made all the running to won impressively for trainer Charlie Appleby.

And he followed that up with victory an hour later, again for Appleby on 4/6 favourite Broderie in the Two of the Three Fillies Novice Stakes, taking the lead over a furlong out and holding off the challenge of the Marco Botti trained Heeyaam 11/4 to take the win.

That’s five wins in his last eleven rides and twenty- four in total in what’s been an outstanding 2018 so far for the Trentragh man.
