Roma McLaughlin had the bragging rights from the battle of the Greencastle women in today’s Rustlers CUFL Women’s Premier Division title final.

McLaughlin’s IT Carlow defeated Ulster University at Oriel Park in the final, adding to their Kelly Cup and Futsal Cup wins.

Peamount United’s Chloe Moloney was the hero once more, just five days after scoring an extra-tome winner against UCC last Friday in the Rustlers WSCAI Kelly Cup Final.

Those watching today did not have to wait as long as the centre half struck ten minutes into the second half.

McLaughlin, who recently committed to Women’s National League side Shelbourne again for the 2018 season, got one up on fellow Greencastle native Gemma McGuinness, the Derry city player who was lining out for UU.
