A Donegal-owned horse finished second yesterday in a Cheltenham race on Gold Cup day.

Discorama, which is jointly owned by Thomas and Maurice Friel from Oughterlin, was the runner-up in the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle.

Blow by Blow, an 11/1 shot trained by Gordon Elliott won the race.

Discorama, ridden by Dylan Robinson, was held up behind and went fourth at the last, holding on over the final 100 yards to take second.
