Donegal under 17’s made it three wins in a row with a two point victory over Derry in the Ulster Under 17’s League at Celtic Park. DERRY 1-13 v 0-18 DONEGAL. Gary Duffy’s team led 0-08 to 0-06 at half-time and held on despite a strong finish by the home team. After Donegal had extended the lead to five points following a good start to the second-half the Derry lads got the game’s only goal to close the gap and ensure an exciting final quarter. Donegal kept their noses in front with some fine scores and pushed the lead out to five again. Back came Derry again with what proved to be the game’s final three scored to leave just the two in it again but Donegal kept their nerve to record a third win and maintain an impressive start to the campaign. Donegal next travel to play Antrim on Saturday
