Comfortable win for Bundoran in Division 2 derby against Four Masters

Realt na Mara collected their first brace of league points of Division 2 with a comprehensive victory over Four Masters in Gaelic Park.

Realt na Mara 4 – 14 Four Masters  0 – 7
Darren Doherty opened the scoring for the visitors but Jamie Brennan replied immediately for the home side.Both teams exchanged a brace of points from Diarmuid Spratt and Gary Clancy for Bundoran and Kevin Mc Brearty and Conor McMonagle for the Donegal Town men.
Then on 18 mins Alan Russell made an incisive run and finished well to the net.Another Mc Monagle point was quickly cancelled out by a Clancy free The final score of the half came from a powerful Niall Carr run to leave the halftime score  Realt na Mara 1-5 Four Masters   0 -4.
Now playing with a strong breeze the men in black and amber hit 3 quick frees from Clancy and Russell  to extend their advantage to seven points.
A McBrearty free on 42 mins  was a brief respite as the homeside  hit 2-3 without reply with goals from Russell and Brennan and points from Clancy, Brennan and Paul Murphy .As the light began to fade two Jamie Crawford points was all Four Masters could muster with Clancy replying for the Seasiders in between.
As Bundoran’s new Stand began to empty halfback Carr hit the home team’s fourth goal following a good save from Cassidy from a Clancy shot . Substitute  Brian McHenry and Cian McEniff added further scores to leave Kevin Lyons new charges well beaten.
