Over 100 people took part in the Harte Insurance Easter Sunday 3k and 5k this morning.
First to cross the finish line in the 5k race was Karol Doherty with a time of 16:38,6; closely pursued by Ciaran McGonagle (17:07,5) and Johnny Canning (17:11,8).
The first woman home was Monica Mc Granaghan with a fantastic time of 20:12,6. Monica was joined across the finish line by Fionnuala Larkin with a time of 20:33,1 and Niamh Gibbons (21:58,0).
In the 3k race the first home was Letterkenny AC’s Karol Duggan in 9 minutes, 5 seconds; Eoghan McGinley was hot on his heels however, crossing the finish line just 9 seconds later. Roy McGilloway came third with a time of 9 minutes 21 seconds.
Niamh McDaid led the way for the women in the 3k race, with a time of 12 minutes 31 seconds. Katie McGee joined her just under a minute later (13:20,2), with Lucy Toner crossing the finish line just over a minute later (14:42,1).
