LYIT launches brand new website – check it out!

The Letterkenny Institute of Technology has launched a brand new website and is inviting people to check it out.

The new website has been designed to provide a more user-friendly experience with improved navigation and functionality throughout, allowing users to access detailed information about courses, on how to apply to courses and provides facts regarding fees and scholarships.

Research went into discovering who the ‘user’ was of the LYIT website, and as a result, the new website has been designed around findings obtained.

The launch comes at a pertinent time for school-leavers as they make that all important choice around what courses they wish to discover. This new website will help a prospective student look at courses by subject area e.g. sport or science. This helps correlate a course to what a prospective student is interested in. LYIT has also provided information on student experiences by providing student testimonials and has a section dedicated to ‘Meet our Students’.

Also as the application deadline is looming (1 June) for people interested in completing postgraduate studies either full-time or part-time, it is a good time to review what courses are available.

Within the website, LYIT also showcases how the institute can collaborate with the community. A new ‘Collaborate’ section has been designed which outlines currently how LYIT engages with the community and how LYIT can help your business. Contact details are provided under the relevant sections and if something interests, for example a community group, sporting organisation or business, they are encouraged to get in contact.

In addition, LYIT has looked to improve the user-friendliness for current students and staff. Now there is a Staff Hub and Student Hub unique to these user groups and with one click all the required information they need is to hand.

The President of Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT), Paul Hannigan, welcomes the launch of the new website. He outlines “I would like to thank everyone involved in developing our new website. We are delighted with the finished product and look forward to your engagement with the site and feedback you may have.”
