Massive draw launched to help restore Drumoghill Chapel

The bright sunshine of recent days provided the perfect setting for a festive crowd gathered at Manor Motors, Manorcunningham yesterday to launch the Drumoghill Chapel Grand Draw.

Naturally, the centre of attention was the spectacular Grand Prize – a gleaming red Opel Karl, yet this is just one of 15 very attractive prizes to be won in the Draw that will take place at Biddy Friel’s, Drumoghill on 28 October.

The aim is to raise much-needed funds for Drumoghill Chapel.

This historical building and parochial church of Raymochy will be 200 years old in 2030. If it is to reach that landmark and continue to serve the community in the years ahead, major work is needed to secure the structure and leave it fit for purpose for another century.

Tickets will be going on sale from Sunday (priced €30 or €50 for 2) and all support for this very worthy cause is greatly appreciated.

Remember, a shining new Opel Karl could be yours for as little as €30.
