Jobs: FAST Technologies is now seeking to recruit an Electrical Engineer and a  Junior/Graduate Electrical Engineer for their premises in Derry~Londonderry.

Job Details: Electrical Engineer 

Job Details:

Contract Type: Full-time/Permanent

Location: Derry/Londonderry

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Salary: Negotiable and depending on experience

As Electrical Engineer, you will work either independently or as a team on various projects as assigned by the Project Manager.  The Electrical Engineer may oversee the entire design process or assist as a technical expert on a specialised design.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare engineering documentation and schematic design for new systems; and analyse the operation of existing systems.
  • Produce accurate Bill of Materials (BOM’s) for electrical components
  • Create / read electrical layouts and schematic drawings
  • Write a scope of work for electrical design based on preliminary reviews and meetings with the client.
  • Work on a number of electrical projects and focus on reducing costs and increasing manufacturing efficiencies.
  • Co-ordinate with the design and technical team in order to provide support during the initial technical specifications, site visits and technical advice on the products/process for electrical requirements.
  • Ensure quality control and health and safety requirements are always met.

Essential Criteria:

  • 1 years’ experience in Electrical, Mechatronic or Electronic Engineering.
  • Degree in Electrical, Mechatronic or Electronic Engineering.
  • Candidates with a HNC / HND / Foundation Degree or equivalent in Electrical, Mechatronic or Electronic
  • Engineering with experience may also be considered.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to remedy problems correctly and with speed.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Electrical circuit design experience
  • Experience of layout, wiring and testing of Control Panels / Systems
  • Ability to design and create Electrical Schematics using AutoCAD or equivalent.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in Electrical Engineering as well as working with all aspects of the product development life cycle. They will be able to communicate with other departments on issues identified from field observations and customer feedback.


Junior/Graduate Electrical Engineer 

Job Details
