A woman told Gardai that her son was upstairs under his bedclothes when Gardai arrived to question the man about a car crash.
A bench warrant had been issued for the arrest of Sheridan O’Callaghan of Windmill View, Letterkenny, Co Donegal after Gardai found a car on its roof on January 13th.
When they arrived at his home, the accused man’s mother opened the door and told Gardai he was upstairs in bed.
O’Callaghan claimed he had insurance for the car but no evidence of the insurance was produced at Letterkenny Garda station.
The case was adjourned.
