Job Vacancy: Donegal company require full-time book-keeper

Muckish Sand and Gravel in Creeslough require a full-time experienced book-keeper for an office role.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role, have a working knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Sage Micropay, the ability to work independently on their own initiative and excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Issuing customer invoices and maintaining debtors ledger
• Bank lodgements, direct debit payments and handling cash payments
• Recording supplier invoices and maintaining creditors ledger
• Preparation of bank reconciliations
• Processing employee payroll
• Preparation and submission of VAT, PAYE, RCT and VIES returns
• Taking telephone orders and scheduling and assigning deliveries
• Dealing with and organising year-end requirements for year-end accounts
• General office administration

Skills/Technical Competency/Experience required:

• Part-qualified accountant desirable
• Experience of SAGE
• Experience working in an office environment
• Accurate worker with strong numerical skills
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Good communication skills and telephone manner
• Punctual and reliable
