WATCH: Councillor has livid outburst over illegal dumping

Donegal county councillor Michael Cholm Mac Giolla Esbuig has hit out at the callous people who have dumped their waste around a recycling bank in Gweedore.

For the third time this week, household rubbish and recycling has been thrown around the Bring Bank facility. Bags, boxes, food waste and recyclable items have been dumped beside the bins, instead of being put into bins.

Cllr Mac Giolla Esbuig did not contain his anger when he filmed the scene today and posted on Facebook to call for action.

“This is an absolute f***ing disgrace,” Cllr Mac Giolla Esbuig said.

“F***ing shame on anybody who thinks they can come down here and dump all their crap and expect somebody else to clean it up for them.”

As the council works to add camera monitors and extra barriers to prevent illegal dumping at the site, Cllr Mac Giolla Esbuig said that public awareness of this disgusting problem needs to continue being raised.
