Oisin Merritt and the Republic of Ireland CP team will face Ukraine in a semi-final tomorrow at the 2018 IFCPF European Championships in the Netherlands.

Ireland topped Group A after a 1-0 win over the Netherlands yesterday. Dillon Sheridan netted the only goal of the game while Ballybofey United man Merritt started again for Paul Breen’s team.

Ireland topped the group after wins over Denmark, Northern Ireland, Germany and Netherlands and will take on Ukraine, who finished as runners-up in Group B. Russia will meet the Netherlands in the other semi-final.

Ireland’s game takes place at 4pm on Friday at the KNVB Campus.

Merritt scored twice in Ireland’s 5-1 win over Germany and he played the full game yesterday.
