A day after appearing for the club’s first team, Niall McGinley scored one of the goals today as the Finn Harps Under-19s defeated Monaghan-Cavan.

McGinley played the last 22 minutes of the 3-0 win over Wexford at Finn Park last night having been sent on as a replacement for Mark Coyle.

And today McGinley cracked in a free kick in the second half as Joe Boyle’s Under-19s won 3-1.

Mark McAteer shot Harps ahead in the opening half before a Ryan Finn penalty doubled the lead.

The final goal arrived as McGinley bent in a superb free.

The visitors pulled a goal back, but Harps had the spadework done.

Harps U19s have a massive game on Tuesday night as they host St Patrick’s Athletic at Finn Park in the Enda McGuill Cup semi-final.
