Donegal set for four home League games in 2019 as provisional fixture list revealed

Donegal are likely to have four home games in the 2019 Allianz Football League.

The provisional fixture list has Declan Bonner’s men – who will compete in Division 2 next year – pencilled in for games at home to Meath, Fermanagh, Armagh and Kildare.

There had been suggestions that Donegal would be sanctioned with the loss of a home game next year for undertaking an extended training camp.

However, none of the counties, including Donegal, appear to be hit.

The provisional list was circulated to counties yesterday for consultation and the fixtures have yet to be fully finalised.

However, there are usually only minor tweaks by the time they are agreed upon.

In that case, Donegal begin life in Division 2 with an away trip to Clare on January 27.

Donegal, relegated from Division 1 earlier this year, will have a repeat of the 2018 Ulster final on February 24 when they face Rory Gallagher’s Fermanagh.

Division 2 (provisional fixtures)

Sunday , January 27 Clare v Donegal

Saturday, February 2 Donegal v Meath

Sunday, February 10 Tipperary v Donegal

Sunday, February 24 Donegal v Fermanagh

Saturday, March 2 Donegal v Armagh

Saturday, March 16 Cork v Donegal

Sunday, March 24 Donegal v Kildare
