Ninth-place finish for Brian Ó Domhnaill in World Masters 5k

Brian Ó Domhnaill has finished ninth in the 5k at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Malaga.

The Finn Valley AC man finished the race in 24 minutes and 23 seconds.

Ó Domhnaill – an Independent Senator n Donegal south west – will also compete in both the 10k and 20k over the next week.

Yesterday, Sinead McConnell won a bronze in her 5k while Margaret Reid finished tenth in her 5k. Both women will also take part in their respective 10k races.
