Dale Gorman captain’s Northern Ireland U21s to victory

Dale Gorman captained Northern Ireland Under-21’s in a 1-0 friendly win against Luxembourg on Thursday evening. 

The midfielder played for an hour in preparation for Northern Ireland’s tough European Championship qualifying fixture against Spain in Albacete on Tuesday night.

Northern Ireland currently sit third in Group 2 with three games remaining, one point behind Slovakia with a chance of earning a playoff spot.

Letterkenny man Gorman, who recently recovered from an ankle injury, joined Leyton Orient this summer after five years at Stevenage.
