Gardaí in Buncrana have warned motorists to check their documents after catching a HGV with out of date motor tax.
The lorry (pictured above) was detained after gardaí discovered that the motor tax had expired five months ago in April 2018.
The driver is set to face a fine over the breach of the Road Traffic Acts.
Gardai shared details of the case on their Twitter account today with the warning: “Ensure documents are in order before bringing vehicle onto public roads.”
