A late goal from substitute Cian Gallagher rescued a dramatic point for Naomh Brid against Glenfin at Pairc Taobhoige this evening.

Glenfin 1-7 Naomh Brid 1-7

Naomh Brid tied up this game in the third the minute of injury time with Gallagher’s goal to share the points in this intermediate championship tie.

It looked like Glenfin (above) were home and dry when Daniel Mc Glynn put them four points up with a goal in the 50th minute, but Naomh Brid had other ideas.

Ciaran Brady started the scoring for Glenfin after 20 seconds of the first half. Naomh Brid equalised on the fifth minute and then went one up on the eighth minute.

Eoin Donnellan levelled for the home side and Jason Morrow from a free had Glenfin on up again.

Naomh Brid tied the game up again  before Daniel McGlynn and Stephen Carr put Glenfin two up going in at half time on a score of Glenfin 0-5 Naomh Brid 0-3.

The second half was similar to the first with scores hard to come by and it took to the eighth minute before Conor Ward pointed to put three between the sides.

Naomh Brid rallied and had the game level again with three points.

Gerard Ward put Glenfin ahead with a point midway through the second half and then Daniel McGlynn scored the goal on the 50th minute and Glenfin looked good for the points.

Naomh Brid never gave up and their hard word was rewarded with a point and the all-important goal in the 63rd minute to share the points.
