IFC: Kennedy sparkles as Naomh Ultan defeat Naomh Colmcille

Cian Kennedy kicked eleven points, six of them frees, as Naomh Ultan defeated 2017 Ulster Junior champions Naomh Colmcille.

Naomh Ultan were without the likes of Alan Lyons and Dermot Gallier, but they had too much for Ryan McKinley’s Naomh Ultan, making the step back into the Intermediate grade again following their heroics last year.

Naomh Colmcille were without Michael Lynch and Matthew Crossan on a night when Kennedy sparkled to give the hosts an excellent start to their Championship.

Scorers – Naomh Ultan:Cian Kennedy 0-11 (6f); Daniel Galalgher 0-4; Aaron Byrne, Michael Breslin, Peter Alvey 0-1 each

Naomh Colmcille: Willie Gillespie 0-3 (2f), Daniel Clarke 0-2; Oran Hilley, Joe Donaghey, Ciaran Devine 0-1 each
